Are Showers Available at Planet Fitness?
Yes, clean & spacious showers are available at Planet Fitness; you will find these showers in the locker room. You won’t have to pay anything extra to use the shower facilities; you just need a Planet Fitness subscription.
To maintain your privacy in the shower stalls, curtains are installed in front of them. I noticed that there is always a shower available at Planet Fitness, so you don’t have to wait outside to take a shower.
And these showers are gender-neutral; anyone can take a shower there after a workout.

Are Towels Available at Planet Fitness?
Unfortunately, Planet Fitness does not provide towels. You must bring a towel from home to wipe off sweat/water from your body after a workout or shower.
I also bring a towel from home so I don’t have to rely on anyone there. I read somewhere online that you can buy towels from the counter at some Planet Fitness locations.
So if you forget to bring towel from home, you can ask your Planet Fitness staff there if they have towels available!
Are Lockers Available at Planet Fitness?
Yes, Locker facility is available at Planet Fitness for your convenience. But you will have to bring your own lock to use the locker.
And if you think you will rent or buy a lock from Planet Fitness, then it is not so; they don’t have locks. So bring your own!
IMPORTANT: Before using the Planet Fitness locker facility, you should know its rules; I have explained them below!
What are the rules to use Locker in Planet Fitness?
If you want to use the Locker facility at Planet Fitness, then it is mandatory to follow these rules:
1. Use Locker only while you are at gym
If you are doing workout at Planet Fitness gym, you can keep your belongings in the locker at that time. You shouldn’t leave the gym with personal items left in the locker.
If you are out for a long time and your stuff is lying in the gym locker, then the authorized staff there will cut your lock and give your items to the front desk.
Then, you will be able to get those items back from the front desk of Planet Fitness, but your lock will be broken, and you will have to bring a new one to use the locker again.
2. Bring your own lock
As I mentioned above, locks are not available on Planet Fitness lockers, so you must bring the lock from your home. Here’s how you can use locker facility at Planet Fitness with your own lock (I do this daily personally):
Open any locker > Put your belongings there > Lock it > Unlock it and get your belongings from the locker while leaving the gym.
3. Don’t store prohibited items in Lockers
It is not allowed to bring prohibited items such as weapons, knives, and other illegal substances to Planet Fitness or keep them in lockers.
4. Don’t interfere with other lockers
Do not attempt to open any other locker other than the one in which you are keeping your belongings. Respect other’s space!

5. Use the locker at your own risk
You should use locker at your own risk; Planet Fitness is not responsible for any lost or damage of your items stored in locker.
That’s why I recommend that bring only workout essentials to the gym. If you have valuables, then keep them with you, not in the locker.
What are the Shower Rules in Planet Fitness?
Like Locker rules, some rules have also been made for using Shower in Planet Fitness, which you need to follow:
1. Don’t use a Mobile or Camera in the Locker/Shower area
Don’t use a Mobile or Camera in the Shower and Locker area because both of these areas are for private use. And if you use Camera or Mobile there, others will feel that you are taking their photos, and this looks quite uncomfortable and disrespectful.
I keep my phone in my pocket in the locker room and shower area so other members privacy can be maintained.
2. Don’t interfere with other showers
If someone is using the shower, you shouldn’t remove the curtain or disturb them. Also, you should not tamper with their belongings.
3. Don’t stay in the shower too long
Don’t stay in the shower stall for too long, I follow one rule there: get in and get out quickly; I go quickly and come out after taking a bath.
So that other members can also get in the shower, ensure that others don’t have to wait too long for you to get outside.

4. Clean the shower area
This rule is very very important, take out your personal items from the shower area and also pick up the trash from there, such as hair, soap scum or used toilets after bathing.
Are the Lockers at Planet Fitness Free?
Yes, The locker facility in Planet Fitness is absolutely free. Anyone can keep their belongings there free of cost. I personally use their lockers to put my gym bag and towel there; this is an excellent facility!
To use the locker there, you just have to be a Planet Fitness member; that’s it!
Can you have your own locker at Planet Fitness?
No, you cannot get your own locker in Planet Fitness; they do not sell or rent lockers. Any member can use any of the lockers present there.
Reason I guess behind it: If all the members start renting or buying lockers, then all PF members can’t take the benefit of the lockers. And they will be limited to only a few persons.
What Are The Shower Hours at Planet Fitness?
There are no set hours for the shower facility to be open at Planet Fitness, you can take a shower there anytime when the gym is open.
And if we talk about the closing time of shower facility: How will you take a shower when the gym is closed 😂? This is the answer!
Can I bring my own Shower Supplies to Planet Fitness?
Planet Fitness doesn’t provide any shower supplies, so you will have to bring your own toiletries (if you need them), and there are no restrictions.
I also bring my toiletries to Planet Fitness, like Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner and Other Products. And Planet Fitness doesn’t even provide towels, so you’ll have to bring that too (if you need it).

No, non-members cannot use Planet Fitness’ showers; showers are only for members who have paid for the membership. And forget about the showers; perhaps non-members will not be able to even work out in the gym without a membership. So, PF membership is a must to use their services!
How do I know if a Planet Fitness Shower stall is empty and I can use it?
To find out this, you will first have to listen to the sound coming from that shower stall, whether the sound of water is coming or not. If the sound of flowing water is coming, then that stall is occupied.
If there’s silence, then confirm once by calling there, like: Hello, anyone’s there? Then you will know whether you can use that stall or not.
Should I shower at Planet Fitness?
It totally depends on you whether you should take a shower at Planet Fitness or not. I definitely take a shower after my workout so that there is no smell of sweat and my body gets refreshed.
And if you are worried about privacy, then don’t worry; nothing is visible behind the curtains. Full privacy!
Does Planet Fitness have Changing Rooms?
Yes, private changing rooms are available in many Planet Fitness gyms; our gym also has 2 private changing rooms. So check once in your gym whether changing rooms are available or not; if not, then you can change in the shower stall or locker room also.
Does Planet Fitness provide soap or shampoo for Shower?
